Epigenetics by Bruce Lipton

Epigenetics, is the study of how your behaviors and environment can cause changes that affect the way your genes work.

A rather simple explanation of a paradigm shift in our understanding of not only how our biology works and what it really responds to, but also the interconnectedness of all living beings on the planet.

Bruce Lipton, Ph.D., an American developmental biologist noted for his views on Epigenetics, is one of the lead researchers in this field, generating to this day vast amounts of scientific material that validate his concepts and ideas. In his book, The Biology of Belief, Bruce Lipton reveals stunning new scientific discoveries about the biochemical effects of the brain’s functioning, showing that all the cells of your body are affected by your thoughts.

Known for his ability to explain complex concepts using simple language, coupled with his refreshing humor, Bruce Lipton has become one of the favorite guests in many podcasts and conferences to talk about the science behind Epigenetics.

Just a few weeks ago he was the guest during the 100th episode of Dr. LuLu Shimek’s podcast, where they talked about the epigenetic revolution: everything about energy, photons, stem cell, genetics, DNA, and planetary evolution. And to no surprise, it was a great source of groundbreaking information delivered with lightness, simplicity, and joy.

While enjoying the podcast, we honed in on these important facts and concepts:

For starters, the understanding that our DNA is activated by environmental signals. Therefore, if you change your environment, you change your biology.

Delving deeper into what Bruce Lipton has found in studying stem cells, we learned that genes do not turn on and off, genes are blueprints. Meaning that all of our biology and genes are controlled by environmental signals.  Then comes the question, what controls the blueprint? The answer is, the architect.

Who is the architect? We ask. No other than the nervous system, based on your response to the world (Belief System).

In sum, the cells of the body are alerted by the nervous system. Since they are not directly connected to the real environment, they’re dependent upon the interpretation of our nervous system to adjust their biology, to match the environment.

That’s when we get to the important part: this interpretation is based on our perceptions. If our perceptions are accurate, then our biology on the inside is going to accurately respond to the environment.

But if our perceptions are not accurate, then we’re going to send information to the cells that are not in harmony with what’s going on in the environment. All of a sudden that’s when the cells are no longer in harmony with the world, and that’s when the disease starts to manifest.

In other words, it is important to understand Individualized Perception: Your perception becomes your reality.

Disharmony = Disease
Harmony = Health
